Another Nugget From Calvin

*Note - I don't like the word nugget, but I can't think of anything else. Morsel is way worse. Lump? Nub? Chunk? Hunk? Wad? I guess I'll stick with nugget.

Calvin on the on the hope of Christ from the Old Testament to the New...
"Accordingly, at the beginning when the promise of salvation was given to Adam [Gen. 3:15] it glowed like a feeble spark. Then, as it was added to, the light grew in fullness, breaking forth increasingly and shedding its radiance more widely. At last - when all the clouds were dispersed - Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, fully illuminated the whole earth [Mal. 4]."
-The Institutes of Christian Religion, Vol 1., page 446.

Amen to that.

You should say scintilla. Or tittle. They are both amazing words that sound funny. (is giggling in the background)

Side note: nugget makes me think of greasy McDonald's rather than gold chunks.

(this is Melissa, not Dave)
