Garden Update

Enough about nose rings and baby shots...let's eat! We started a container garden a while back. We have our staircase decked out with pots and the greatest planting invention ever - The Earthbox. Google it. Its great. If you don't have room to plant a garden this thing is amazing. Our heirloom tomato plant is almost as tall as I am. Here's the pics:

The Guard Dogs (in view of the basil)...

We only have one green pepper so far but more are on the way. This one has a couple more weeks, but he's getting there...

These are our Sun Gold cherry tomatoes. This is the only golden one, but I imagine we'll have many of these. This is just one small bunch...

This is a small string of heirlooms. They still have a ways to go, but I've counted at least 30 blooms so far. Its huge...

This is a wider shot of the heirloom plant.

Wow. We planted our stuff about the same time y'all did (maybe a week or two after) and out stuff is nowhere near as big as yours! We have a vegetable garden post coming soon as well. Maybe I'll check out the earth box next year if we still don't have a bigger yard for a garden.

We have an earth box, too! It really does help everything grow better! We didn't plant anything this year, but I might next year! There are videos on you tube that show how to make your own earth boxes out of rubbermaid boxes. Some friends did that and it worked just as well, since they are kinda pricey! You guys definately have been blessed with a bountiful garden! Good job! ;-)
